Startup Bootcamp for Exceptional High School Founders

Are you a high school student with big ideas and the ambition to turn them into real-world products? Join an elite 8-week program led by Andrew Swerdlow, a veteran Silicon Valley tech leader and founder of Tech Leadership, to learn how to build and launch your first startup.

This is not a theoretical course. This is startup bootcamp for builders.

Week 1: Think Like a Founder

  • Learn how great founders identify problems worth solving

  • Find your “why” and understand founder-market fit

  • Brainstorm 10 product ideas and pick one to run with

Week 3: From Idea to Product

  • Intro to wireframing, no-code tools, and app design

  • Build your first prototype using tools like Figma, Glide, or Bubble

  • Test and iterate quickly with real users

Week 5: Launch & Iterate

  • Publish your app to the web or App Store

  • Learn the basics of product analytics and user behavior

  • Run feedback loops and improve your product

Week 7 Growth & Marketing

  • Learn the basics of storytelling, branding, and launch strategy

  • Get your first 100 users through organic marketing or community-building

  • Set up a landing page and email list

Week 2: Validate Your Idea

  • Learn how to talk to users and identify your riskiest assumptions

  • Run real customer interviews and get honest feedback

  • Define your product’s core value and simple prototype

Week 4: Build an MVP

  • Learn how to scope a Minimum Viable Product

  • Hands-on coding or managing a developer (we’ll match you with technical mentors if needed!)

  • Focus on core features that users actually want

Week 6: Build a Team

  • Learn how to collaborate, delegate, and hire

  • Write job descriptions and onboard technical or creative help

  • Lead your first “startup team meeting” like a real CEO

Week 8: Pitch to Real VCs (Advanced Track)

  • Craft a compelling pitch deck and narrative
    Get feedback from former founders and investors
    Present live to a panel of real Silicon Valley VCs and operators
